Welcome to MISRA-C.ORG
This is a completely unofficial web page. Apart from being one of the working group for MISRA-C2 and promoting the use of MISRA-C1 for the previous 7 years I have no connection with MIRA Ltd.
The official MISRA-C web site is at www.misra-c.com .

 MISRA-C
AKA
Guidelines For The Use Of The C Language In Critical Systems
A.K.A (MISRA-C1 1998)
Guidelines For The Use Of The C Language In Vehicle Based Software

These guidelines are a safety critical subset of C. Originally for automotive use but they are useful in any embedded C system See Review of the first MISRA-C in 1998. Since their publication MISRA-C as it became known, largely due to the vision of several people and companies in the current MISRA-C working group, it spread outside the automotive industry to most areas of high integrity and safety critical C systems. MISRA-C came out of the much earlier MISRA Guidelines (see History) which are not used outside the UK automotive world.

Everything can be reached from the navigation bar above apart from the Gallery of pictures of places and people significant to MISRA-C, or at least to the MISRA-C working group.

 MISTRAY-C

MIStRAy-C
is the anecdote to MISRA-C. It is the free thinking radical "software is an ART form" hackers version of the acclaimed MISRA-C. Mistray-C is currently [inadvertently]used in many thousands of companies around the world. Read it and laugh.... otherwise you would realise how serious and dangerous this sort of programming can be. We have all seen code that is in MISTRAY-C, unfortunately!

It was written by one of the MISRA-C Working group in a moment of madness whilst trying to highlight what each MISRA-C rule was trying to ban.
